Kalami is a complete website for a tutoring centre in a calm editorial style: warm paper, one ultramarine accent, classic serif headings, hairline rules, numbered sections and real photography instead of illustration. The start page shows the next free trial lesson – from the tutors’ times –, the numbers of the studio with a countdown to the exams, how it works in four steps, an index of the subjects and quotes.

The subjects with a filter by level and online lessons and the tutors who teach them. The tutors with monograms, teaching languages and the days of their trial lessons. Prices per level and a calculator: level, length, lessons a week and lessons in a pair – the price per lesson and per month appear at once; cards and courses with a crossed-out price. A free trial lesson: subject → its levels and tutors → the tutor’s days and times, with a live summary – the request arrives in the admin and by e-mail.

The language switch is a segmented control with drawn round flags; on phones the menu is a numbered index sliding in from the right. Installation: upload two files and open install.php – the assistant checks your web space, connects the MySQL database and sets everything up in a few minutes. Includes an illustrated guide (PDF, 4 languages).
