Mtvare is a complete website for a cocktail bar: midnight violet, moonlight cream and brass, art-deco headings, a crescent moon with slowly turning rays and drawn glasses in the colour of each drink. A live status shows everywhere: “open now”, “happy hour now” or when the bar opens – closing after midnight is counted right. The start page has a happy-hour band, signature drinks with sweetness and strength meters and this week’s programme with tonight marked.

A flavour map: dry and sour on the left, sweet on the right, strong at the top, light at the bottom – tap a glass or any spot and the closest drink is suggested; plus a mood filter and the menu with prices. The nights as tickets: the next evening first, with its date and a reservation link for that day. A table reservation with day (only open days), time, guests, area (bar counter, lounge, terrace – checked against the seats) and occasion – it arrives in the admin and by e-mail.

The language switch is a row of drink coasters with drawn flags, the one in use carrying the ring of a glass; on phones the menu is tonight’s bar tab rolling down. Installation: upload two files and open install.php – the assistant checks your web space, connects the MySQL database and sets everything up in a few minutes. Includes an illustrated guide (PDF, 4 languages).
